北京時間10月20日 ，皇马據西班牙《馬卡報》報道 ，明夏免签姆巴西甲豪門皇家馬德裏俱樂部計劃明年夏天免費簽下姆巴佩、欲完又硬博格巴 、佩博凱西和呂迪格四名球員 。格巴
多年來，俩黑皇馬對於自由身球員一直並不太感興趣。皇马一方麵 ，明夏免签姆巴自由身球員往往要求高新 。欲完又硬另一方麵，佩博皇馬懷疑這些自由身球員的格巴解約原因 。不過 ，俩黑時代已經變化了 ，皇马尤其是明夏免签姆巴那些擁有石油資本支持的俱樂部正在撼動轉會市場，因而皇馬也將目標投向了自由球員身上 。欲完又硬根據《馬卡報》的消息 ，皇馬計劃在明年夏季轉會期免費簽下姆巴佩 、博格巴、凱西和呂迪格四名球員。實際上，皇馬在今夏就已經簽下了與拜仁合同到期的阿拉巴。明年夏天，皇馬將繼續嚐試免簽 。
《馬卡報》指出 ，曼聯的博格巴和切爾西的呂迪格的合同都將在明年夏天到期 ，這兩名球員已經被皇馬密切關注許久了。博格巴一直渴望前往伯納烏效力 ，鑒於皇馬與拉伊奧拉的關係有明顯改善，拉胖也許不會提出過於苛刻的條件，這將會成為法國中場加盟的有利條件 。呂迪格想要前往英超以外的聯賽效力的願望非常強烈 ，這對皇馬非常有利 ，德國鐵衛的年薪要求為1000萬歐元 。
《馬卡報》還指出 ，凱西和姆巴佩同樣是皇馬明夏的重點目標 。凱西與AC米蘭早已漸行漸遠 ，這位強力鐵腰將成為卡塞米羅的完美替身和搭檔 。皇馬最為重要的目標當然還是姆巴佩 ，雖然法國天才至今仍與大巴黎在續約問題上糾纏不清 ，但皇馬非常有信心在明夏簽下自由身的姆巴佩 。
《馬卡報》在文章最後也表示 ，雖然皇馬已經開始著重關注自由身球員 ，但是隻要球員合適 ，他們仍然會支付高額的轉會費，就像今年夏天花費4000萬歐引進年輕的卡馬文加一樣 。
