由於梅西是巴薩曾經的一哥，因此巴薩的球迷商店內 ，梅西的球衣備貨非常多 。但是隨著梅西的離開 ，這些備貨的球衣無法被賣出 ，這其中的損失會由誰承擔呢 ？
足球媒體《goal》稱 ，巴薩並不會因此承擔巨額損失 ，因為這些戰袍將被退給耐克處理 。在球員轉會後退還戰袍 ，這是標準處理流程 。2017年，內馬爾轉會巴黎聖日耳曼後 ，巴薩就曾把內馬爾的球衣退還給耐克 。
盡管不會在梅西球衣方麵遭遇損失 ，但是球衣銷售的下滑是無法避免的。根據統計 ，之前梅西球衣銷售額是巴薩球衣銷售總額的80%左右 ，每個賽季可以給巴薩帶來2000萬到3000萬歐元的收入。而在梅西離開後 ，巴薩方麵希望德佩的球衣可以彌補梅西離開後的部分損失 。據悉 ，目前德佩的球衣銷量是巴薩球衣銷量的一半左右 ，短期內可以彌補巴薩球衣銷量30%的損失 。
