北京時間1月24日下午3點 ，武磊中國隊在琦玉世界杯球場的认清外場進行了抵達日本之後的首堂訓練課 。23日晚與球隊會合的中日足球展现武磊和蔣光太參加了球隊訓練課 ，訓練開始前 ，差距武磊接受了媒體的放开采訪 。
武磊表示 ：“一路飛行非常順利，不用先從巴塞羅那飛到迪拜，过多然後和蔣光太一起從迪拜到日本 。考虑其實飛行集訓也是结果老生常談的問題 ，從我自己來說已經適應了這個節奏 ，武磊但說身體完全不疲勞也是认清不太可能 ，因為畢竟也是中日足球展现20個小時的左右飛行 ，但我每次回到國家隊心情都很開心，差距看到大家也比較親切 ，放开這對於疲勞的不用緩解也很有好處 。”
這也是球隊換帥之後，武磊首次與新的國家隊會合 ，對此武磊表示 ：“整體球隊變化不大 ，除了主教練 ，隊員變化不大 ，還是感覺跟以前一樣 。跟李霄鵬指導也沒有特別多的技戰術交流 ，主要是問一下我的身體情況和身體狀態怎麽樣 。”
談到日本隊，武磊表示 ，自己以前亞冠也來過琦玉這個場地 ，天氣 ，環境都比較熟悉 ，“跟日本隊第一回合比分是0-1 ，比分不是特別懸殊 ，但過程來說 ，每個人都不是特別滿意 ，這場比賽我們一定要汲取上一場比賽的經驗 ，不管結果 怎樣 ，一定要把球隊的精氣神 ，狀態 ，拚搏精神發揮出來 ，不要像第一回合 ，場麵被動 ，我們還是要放開自己 ，把自己的東西打出來 ，不要管結果怎麽樣 。”
“日本球隊實力雖然確實在我們之上 ，這是客觀的事實 ，我們也能夠認清這樣的差距 ，但不管結果怎樣 ，我們要發揮自己的東西，展現自己，我們有能力把一些事情做好 ，每個人盡最大的努力，做好自己的事情，幫助自己的隊友 ，整個球隊更加會擰成一股繩 。”武磊說 。
本場比賽日本方麵也會有球迷入場觀賽，對此武磊表示 ，這是好事 。“我覺得作為球員來說，隻要有球迷在場，肯定比空場比賽要好 ，整個氛圍更能調動大家的情緒 ，希望有更多的球迷在 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
