廣州城的股改工作進展相對比較順利 。據俱樂部高層透露 ，放弃廣汽入主廣州城一事已經基本談妥，接手键于將來廣汽會成為廣州城的队念第一大股東 ，但富力集團仍然會保留三成股權 。头关态度不為人知的广药广州广州关部是 ，廣汽與富力的放弃關係其實很不錯 。十多年前 ，接手键于富力集團買了數百輛汽車 ，队念贈送給廣州某部門作為工作用車 ，头关态度購買的广药广州广州关部車輛就來自廣汽 。同時 ，放弃股改後的接手键于俱樂部管理層 ，也有富力集團的队念員工留任 ，繼續參與俱樂部的头关态度運營管理 。
相比廣州城 ，廣州隊的情況就不太樂觀 。由於兩家公司的理念和心理價位差距很大 ，廣藥並沒有如願入主廣州隊 。但恒大想繼續單獨運營廣州足球俱樂部絕不是一件容易的事。在大幅度減薪後 ，廣州隊的主力球員肯定會大批出走 ，廣州隊今年的陣容實力將會大大下降 ，外界已經把廣州隊列入今年中超的降級熱門 。以足校小將為主的廣州隊有多少戰鬥力 ，估計看過去年亞冠比賽的人都會有所了解 。
廣藥集團目前並未放棄接手廣州隊的念頭，依然在通過相關部門的努力希望讓事情有轉機 。但時間不等人 ，在廣州足球俱樂部官宣了《通知》後 ，廣州隊今年的陣容已經可想而知 ，廣藥隊對於接手這樣一支有大概率會降級的青年軍也不會有太大的興趣 。如今的關鍵很可能在於廣州市有關部門的態度 ，他們究竟希望新賽季廣州隊以什麽樣的麵貌出現 ，是否會放手廣州隊轉而扶持廣州城 ，讓後者成為廣州足球的新代表 ，或許將會決定廣州隊的未來走向。
