西班牙人俱樂部時隔1年之後重返西甲聯賽，五大聯賽中又重新有了中國球員的目标身影。而武磊在出席鸚鵡軍團的进球新聞發布會時表示希望自己未來有一個賽季的進球數能夠上雙 。
“我是两位給自己定下了一個目標 ，希望有一個賽季的数回时间進球數能夠達到2位數。如果說球隊目標的西甲話 ，大家還是更多想踢好首輪比賽，之後的出场比賽要一場一場去拚 。第一場比賽結束後再考慮其他的武磊事情，每場比賽大家都是目标要拚盡全力的 。”
而談到季前準備 ，进球武磊表示：“現在的两位休賽期和以前相比確實少了 ，但是数回时间我回到這裏還是要努力跟上球隊的節奏 。應該說我恢複的西甲還是不錯的，對新賽季充滿信心 。更多我剛剛加盟的時候 ，是踢西甲聯賽 ，對於西班牙頂級聯賽 ，我並不陌生 ，所以我還是很有信心。上賽季我是在踢西乙聯賽 ，出場則比較少 。”
隨後武磊說道 ：“回到西甲聯賽 ，我想我會有更多的出場時間 ，從我的特點而言 ，我想會的。這當然需要我在平時的訓練中更加努力，去為球隊做出貢獻 。新賽季我希望能夠多出場 ，去幫助球隊贏得比賽，如果說能夠自己進球幫助球隊贏得比賽 ，這就更完美了 。對我自己來說 ，踢西甲聯賽我能夠為球隊製造空間和反擊深度 ，這是我的特點 。而西乙聯賽我們的踢法完全不同 。”
武磊在2019年冬歇期加盟西班牙人，2018-2019賽季合計在16場西甲聯賽中為西班牙人打進3球 ，當賽季武磊幫助鸚鵡軍團保級成功 ，而且還拿到了歐戰門票 。2019-2020賽季是武磊第一次在西班牙人踢完一個完整的賽季 ，當賽季武磊合計在49場比賽中打進8球 ，但賽季結束時西班牙人不幸降級 。上賽季武磊在西乙聯賽中打進2球 ，此外國王杯打進1球，合計打進3球 。
