上月中旬，部已部武漢隊球員蒿俊閔在社交媒體上發文，商注向武漢隊以及投資人閻誌公開討要薪水 ，册名长江隨後 ，武汉武汉武漢俱樂部方麵發文做出了回應 ，足球足球表示蒿俊閔發帖內容不是俱乐将工俱乐真實情況 。同時 ，部已部武漢俱樂部發布了一份名為關於足球投入調整的商注聲明與說明，其中提到俱樂部將申請改名 。册名长江
在該聲明中，武汉武汉武漢隊表示 ：於中國男子職業足球現狀和俱樂部的足球足球實際運行情況 ，我們將調整對足球的俱乐将工俱乐重點支持方向 ，加大對青訓 、足球教育和基層足球運動的投入 ，調減對俱樂部職業聯賽的投入 ，我們鼓勵球員主動調降個人薪酬標準 。待球員返漢集結後 ，我們將兌現上賽季薪酬 ，並與球員一一誠意溝通 ，共同商討新的薪酬方案 。
同時 ，為使球隊比賽成績不至於影響城市聲譽 ，同時也使同城球隊感覺更公平合理 ，即日起申請將“武漢足球俱樂部有限公司”更名為“武漢長江足球俱樂部有限公司” ，“武漢隊”同時更名為“武漢長江隊”。
在此番聲明之後 ，武漢隊陸續同傳聞中的幾位被欠薪球員進行了解約，並承諾將解決拖欠的薪水，其中包含黃紫昌 、楊博宇的知名國腳級球員，並表示將大力支持青少年足球發展 ，建設青訓梯隊，這也被認為是武漢隊新賽季將收縮投資的表現 。(編輯 劉水土)
