蘇格蘭隊聲明稱 ，膝下他們堅決反對一切形式的跪反種族歧視。蘇格蘭主帥史蒂夫-克拉克和隊員們共同宣布 ，对种他們也將效仿英格蘭隊抗議種族歧視的族歧做法 ，在比賽前單膝下跪 。苏格视克拉克在聲明中表示：“我知道有一些人試圖歪曲蘇格蘭隊在歐洲杯采取反種族歧視的兰将兰球做法 ，特別是英格员共在溫布利球場對陣英格蘭的比賽 。”
