曼聯被曝出對25歲的門興中場紮卡裏亞感興趣 ，這名瑞士球員與德甲球隊的合同將在本賽季結束後到期 ，所以門興方麵或許也會樂於在冬窗將其出售 ，以期至少換取到一點點轉會費用 。
但根據英國媒體消息 ，曼聯球探否決了這筆交易的一切可能 ，因為他們在對紮卡裏亞進行了觀察分析後 ，得出結論稱對其“長期適應性”感到憂心 。紮卡裏亞在2020年11月才從嚴重的膝傷中恢複了過來，但曼聯方麵的觀察分析人員表示 ，自那之後他的狀態一直飽受質疑 。
