首輪不敵升班馬長春亞泰，大连对提大連人隊的人迎表現好於預期，但陣容過於單薄 ，抢分取胜整體實力終歸有限 。重场28日晚間對陣河北隊 ，次早需要努力搶分，升自畢竟在間歇期前的信心4輪比賽中 ，還有國安 、裨益海港這兩個強硬對手 。大连对提早一點得分 ，人迎早一點取勝，抢分取胜對提升年輕球員的重场自信心大有裨益。
自從重返中超以來，次早大連人隊在冬訓中要麽經曆了大的升自波動 ，要麽發展方向發生重大改變 ，信心連續3個賽季 ，開局表現都十分糟糕 ：2018賽季首輪就是0 ：8 ，直到第九輪才迎來首勝；接下來的兩個賽季中 ，則分別等到第五輪和第八輪，才贏了第一個3分 。
上個賽季 ，在貝尼特斯這樣的名帥指揮下 ，又有哈姆西克 、龍東這樣的大牌外援壓陣 ，連續不勝依然讓球員們神經緊繃 。所幸在與恒大隊的比賽中取得了一場平局 ，球隊這才重拾自信 ，在第八輪終於贏得了3分 。
今年球隊實力明顯不及去年，更要在與弱隊的較量中搶占先機 ，站穩腳跟。從這個角度來說 ，近期最有意義的比賽就是對陣河北和津門虎，這是非常重要的場次。
首輪比賽中 ，大連人隊的年輕球員們在場上打出了不錯的配合 ，這值得肯定 。但也要看到，一方麵對手並不強，還沒有完全適應中超節奏 ，另一方麵，在進攻的最後環節上，大連人隊還有明顯的差距 ，在外援缺陣的情況下 ，如何改進 ，是道難題。
如果能在鍛煉年輕球員的同時兼顧成績 ，當然最好 ，要是必須在二者之間選擇一個 ，成績顯然是不能被拋開的 ，本輪比賽大連人隊的首要目標就應該是全力爭勝 。
