賽後國足主帥李鐵表示 ：“今天的需拿心勇比賽我們球隊的表現確實很不好 ，在前20分鍾還踢得不錯 ，出信然後慢慢失去對球的李铁控製，讓對手太容易拿到球權 ，今天對手控球時 ，表现不好我們組織防守不好 ，确实球员气希望球隊盡快調整 ，需拿心勇能夠迎接下一場比賽 。出信”
記者 ：12強賽的李铁第一場比賽 ，我們的今天差距在哪些方麵 ？心態方麵是否有調整的空間 ？
李鐵 ：第一 ，我們的表现不好球員需要提高迎戰水平比賽自己高的對手的勇氣 ，如何要提高自己，需要勇氣去迎戰這些對手 。澳隊踢得是歐洲足球 ，在控球的基礎上踢得很快，這就是實力上的差距。
記者：球隊體能儲備相比40強賽是否有所下降 ？
李鐵 ：我們在上海集訓期間 ，給球員進行了測試 ，現在的身體情況 、疲勞情況 ，比在40強賽時，疲勞得多 ，連續9場 、10場聯賽之後 ，球員沒有得到很好地恢複 ，這確實是一個客觀因素 。但這不是今天輸球的理由。
記者：今天比賽打完之後馬上對陣日本隊 ，日本首輪輸給了阿曼隊 。小組形勢複雜 。我們如何準備與日本隊的比賽 ？李鐵 ：下午也看了一小部分日本與阿曼的比賽 ，日本 、澳大利亞是這個小組最強的兩隊 。可能很多人都沒有想到日本主場輸給阿曼。9月7日，對我們是一次考驗 ，對球員也是機會 ，我們有機會去挑戰亞洲最好的球隊 。從我角度來說 ，是非常開心的 。
記者 ：賽前你說過，很多球員沒有經曆過12強賽的經驗 。你覺得那些經驗可以傳授給球員 ？其實還是有些球員經曆過上屆12強賽 ，他們是球隊的保障 。
