北京時間10月9日淩晨 ，金球奖人《法國足球》雜誌分6批公布了2021年金球獎30人候選名單 。候选當地時間11月29日 ，名单梅西金球獎頒獎禮將會在巴黎的莱万C罗领衔夏特萊劇院舉行。
在這份30人候選名單中 ，克亚梅西 、尔入萊萬、金球奖人C羅 、候选本澤馬等人悉數入圍 。名单梅西值得一提的莱万C罗领衔是 ，丹麥中衛克亞爾也獲得了提名 。克亚考慮到克亞爾的尔入球場表現和他的場上位置，他獲得提名顯然是金球奖人因為他在歐洲杯中對埃裏克森的急救 。
