廣州隊球員很多都已在廣州安了家，广州特別是队多那些跟隨廣州隊南征北戰，贏得過無數榮譽的老队老將 ，早已把廣州當成了家，员理小孩都在廣州上學 。解欠机会俱乐但麵對這樣的想回报減薪 ，也不得不打重新為自己的办法部將來考慮 。比如有球員去年在廣州買房 ，广州如果按照現在的队多薪水 ，即便是老队拿60萬元的頂薪 ，連支付房貸都遠遠不夠 。员理因此，解欠机会俱乐最終的想回报結果還可能是上賽季一線隊的幾乎所有隊員都將離開 。
廣州隊從去年9月份開始欠薪 ，办法部累計下來欠了球員數千萬元 ，广州有些球員為了轉會 ，已經和廣州隊解約 ，放棄了薪水。不過 ，廣州隊在對待老隊員方麵還是有比較有溫情的 。上賽季中超聯賽結束後 ，廣州足球俱樂部領到了中超聯賽的分紅 。俱樂部將其中一部分資金用於補發球員的薪水 ，但由於分紅總數有限 ，每個球員領到的薪水也十分有限。不過 ，這已經是廣州足球俱樂部在目前情況下所能做出的最大誠意了。對於這一點 ，很多老隊員也都十分理解 ，認為雖然俱樂部欠薪了 ，但並非是惡意欠薪，而是實在沒有辦法 。
不少球員都表示 ，俱樂部以前對球員的情誼不會忘記，不管自己去到哪裏踢球 ，都會記得在廣州隊的美好時光 。有老隊員甚至表示 ，廣州隊是自己職業生涯最重要的一站 ，幫助自己實現了很多足球願望，將來如果有機會，也會想辦法回報俱樂部。據悉，有些球員轉會後 ，其家人仍然會在廣州定居生活 。（東方體育日報 特約記者 鵬佑）
