北京時間2月3日22 ：00，中國女足將在2022印度女足亞洲杯半決賽中對陣日本女足 。霞面在當地時間2月2日上午舉行的对强队有斗賽前新聞發布會上，主教練水慶霞表示 ，魄力目前中國女足整體備戰情況不錯，冠军“麵對強隊要有魄力 ，奋目标無論是水庆順境還是逆境 ，希望我們的霞面隊員們都能想辦法應對 ，打出自己的对强队有斗精氣神 ，不要考慮太多 ，魄力而是冠军享受足球本身。”
談到對手日本女足的奋目标特點 ，水慶霞認為 ，水庆日本隊傳接球技術比較嫻熟，霞面團隊配合很默契 ，对强队有斗場上變化比較多 ，“我們要做好揚長避短的準備 ，在抑製和反抑製上發揮自己的長處 ，打出我們自己的東西 。”
水慶霞表示 ，除了關注對手，她更關注隊員本身 ，“比賽結果無非就是兩種 ，贏或者輸 ，我更關注是否能打出我們自己的東西，包括如果在逆境中如何去應對 。”
同時參加賽前發布會的中國女足隊長王珊珊說 ，對陣日本是一場很期待的比賽 ，“她們肯定會對我們有壓力和製造困難 ，希望我們能打出自己的東西 ，在（亞洲杯）這個舞台上展示中國女足 ，我們肯定會全力以赴的 。”
中國女足在此次亞洲比賽小組賽中獲得A組頭名 ，在1/4決賽中以3-1戰勝越南女足。有記者問到 ，在亞洲杯半決賽曆史上，中國女足隻在08年戰勝過一次日本女足，是否會帶來心理壓力 。水慶霞回應，足球場上什麽都有可能發生 ，“對我來說，之前發生的事情已經過去，總有一個新的開始 。雖然我們這次集訓的時間也比較短 ，但還是逐漸形成一些自己的東西 。拿到冠軍是我們奮鬥的目標，但無論發生什麽情況我都能接受 ，我們需要更在意細節 ，任何成功都不會輕易得到。”
