北京時間10月11日 ，在出戰歐國聯季軍戰後 ，欧国比利時門神庫爾圖瓦大放厥詞 ，联金批判了整個賽事主辦方UEFA ，钱游甚至連FIFA也沒放過，戏世他認為歐國聯隻是界杯一個關乎金錢的遊戲而已 。
庫爾圖瓦談到 ：“這項賽事（歐國聯）隻是改制一個金錢遊戲罷了 ，我們必須對此保持坦率 。也扯我們隻能被迫參加比賽 ，裤袜因為對於歐足聯而言，欧国這是联金額外的收益 。看看這兩支球隊的钱游陣容都調整了多少 ，如果我們都進入決賽 ，戏世那麽我們的界杯陣容也會被迫大幅輪換 。”
“這唯一能說明的改制就是 ，我們踢了太多的比賽了。歐足聯還創造除了另一個額外的獎杯（歐會杯） ，和歐國聯是同樣的情況 。他們會因為其他球隊想要自行組建一個歐超聯賽而格外氣氛 ，但他們並不是在乎球員們的感受 ，他們隻是關心自己口袋裏麵的錢。”
不光是UEFA遭到了庫爾圖瓦的指摘 ，就連醞釀改革世界杯的FIFA也沒有被放過 ，比利時門神繼續談到 ：“球員們的情況沒有被人提及和重視，這顯然並不是一件好事情 。現在 ，你還會聽到每年踢歐洲杯或是世界杯這樣的說法 。我們到底要到什麽時候才能休息？似乎我們從來也得不到休息時間 。”
“最終那些頂級球員們都會接連不斷的受傷 ，他們應該得到更多更好的照顧 ，球員並不是機器人。隻是現在 ，我們的比賽越來越多 ，休息越來越少 ，卻沒有人關心。”
“明年11月份我們還得去踢世界杯 ，然後我們還得踢到6月底去。沒有人關心球員 ，沒有人關心傷病 ，三周的假期顯然不足以讓一名球員在高水平的對抗中保持12個月的穩定發揮。如果我們一直不對此表達異議的話 ，那麽情況顯然會一直這樣下去 。”
