北京時間10月11日 ，在出戰歐國聯季軍戰後 ，欧国比利時門神庫爾圖瓦大放厥詞 ，联金批判了整個賽事主辦方UEFA ，钱游甚至連FIFA也沒放過，戏世他認為歐國聯隻是界杯一個關乎金錢的遊戲而已 。
庫爾圖瓦談到 ：“這項賽事（歐國聯）隻是改制一個金錢遊戲罷了，我們必須對此保持坦率 。也扯我們隻能被迫參加比賽 ，裤袜因為對於歐足聯而言 ，欧国這是联金額外的收益 。看看這兩支球隊的钱游陣容都調整了多少 ，如果我們都進入決賽 ，戏世那麽我們的界杯陣容也會被迫大幅輪換 。”
“這唯一能說明的改制就是 ，我們踢了太多的比賽了。歐足聯還創造除了另一個額外的獎杯（歐會杯） ，和歐國聯是同樣的情況 。他們會因為其他球隊想要自行組建一個歐超聯賽而格外氣氛 ，但他們並不是在乎球員們的感受 ，他們隻是關心自己口袋裏麵的錢 。”
不光是UEFA遭到了庫爾圖瓦的指摘，就連醞釀改革世界杯的FIFA也沒有被放過，比利時門神繼續談到：“球員們的情況沒有被人提及和重視 ，這顯然並不是一件好事情 。現在 ，你還會聽到每年踢歐洲杯或是世界杯這樣的說法。我們到底要到什麽時候才能休息 ？似乎我們從來也得不到休息時間 。”
“最終那些頂級球員們都會接連不斷的受傷 ，他們應該得到更多更好的照顧 ，球員並不是機器人 。隻是現在 ，我們的比賽越來越多，休息越來越少 ，卻沒有人關心 。”
“明年11月份我們還得去踢世界杯，然後我們還得踢到6月底去。沒有人關心球員 ，沒有人關心傷病 ，三周的假期顯然不足以讓一名球員在高水平的對抗中保持12個月的穩定發揮。如果我們一直不對此表達異議的話 ，那麽情況顯然會一直這樣下去 。”
