而現實的情況則有了較大的變化，手術之後法蒂恢複情況不甚理想。法蒂的左膝不見好轉 ，還因為膝蓋積水，導致劇痛 ，無法入睡 。三月份 ，西班牙媒體給出消息 ，法蒂會同裏昂著名醫學專家伯特蘭進行一次全麵診斷 ，結果就是伯特蘭建議法蒂需要摘除左膝內側半月板手術。手術如果順利 ，法蒂至多休養6-8周時間便可以回歸賽場 。
在接受手術之前 ，醫生還針對法蒂的病情實施了新的治療方案 。來自《RAC1》的消息稱，采取新的治療方案之後 ，這位年輕球員反應良好 。報道稱 ，如果這一情況持續下去 ，那麽法蒂可以避免再一次動手術 。
需要指出的是 ，一旦法蒂可以避免手術 ，就會避免被摘除半月板。此前不少頂級運動巨星因為摘除半月板之後 ，狀態還有競技能力大大下滑 。托雷斯就進行過半月板切除手術。沒切半月板之前的托雷斯奔跑速度奇快 ，經常一個急停變向就能晃開對方球員 。做了這個手術後 ，托雷斯身體機能大不如前，再也無法風馳電掣地進行全力奔跑 。
