國足比賽移師阿聯酋沙迦後 ，中超牽一發而動全身 ，基本计划本賽季的确定中超聯賽將在何時重啟 ，又將以何種形式結束瞬間充滿變數 。推迟盡管中超各家俱樂部尚未收到中國足協的多队正式通知 ，但從目前情況來看，更改原定於6月21日重啟的训练第一階段剩餘聯賽基本確定推遲一個月左右 ，多支球隊被迫更改訓練計劃。申花
上海申花之前於5月27日重新集結 。放假按照主教練崔康熙的中超設想 ，下一階段比賽來臨前 ，基本计划球隊若能以全封閉集訓的确定形式進行備戰 ，將大大提高球員對於比賽的推迟專注度 ，球隊原定於6月1日開啟為期兩周的多队封閉集訓。但就在5月31日，更改中國足協發布"關於40強賽剩餘比賽易地舉辦的聲明"，同意40強賽A組剩餘比賽不再於蘇州舉辦 ，同時國足決定前往阿聯酋繼續參賽。
由於國腳們比賽結束後回國涉及國內防疫隔離政策 ，按照"14+7"的隔離要求來計算 ，他們最快也要在7月初才能解除隔離 ，因此中超聯賽有可能在7月中旬重啟 。申花教練組經過討論後決定，為了避免在等待賽程確定的過程中產生不必要的消耗，球隊臨時放假 。
事實上 ，球隊在去年就曾吃過連續備戰的"虧" ，先是從海口到阿聯酋 ，再加上隔離期，累計在外漂泊81天 ，此後又在上海原地集訓三個多月 ，就這樣在等待中超開賽消息的過程中幾乎沒有停下過腳步 。集訓之初積攢起來的專注力因備戰期過於冗長而慢慢消散。正是基於去年的經驗，教練組此次臨時做出了放假的決定 。
