北京時間2月18日 ，传奇意大利媒體《慢鏡頭》消息 ，再继AC米蘭正在就續約事宜與伊布展開談判，续曝续约若無意外的伊布話 ，瑞典神塔將再為紅黑軍團踢一年球 ，降薪雙方續約至明年夏天 ，为米新合同稅後年薪300萬歐元，兰多外加200萬歐元的踢年獎金 。
伊布現年40歲 ，不老但他並未考慮退役 ，传奇即便是再继他目前處於傷病狀態 。過去一段時間 ，续曝续约伊布繼續著魔鬼訓練 ，伊布在健身房甚至玩起了懸掛仰臥起坐 ，降薪展示自己強大的核心力量 。出色的身體機能，讓伊布繼續保持上佳的競技狀態 ，雖然傷兵增多 ，但進球效率仍然很高，本賽季至今 ，伊布代表AC米蘭出場19次 ，打進8球助攻2次，進球數僅次於萊奧（10球）和吉魯（10球），是隊內第二號得分手 。需要指出的是 ，考慮到這些球員的出勤率，伊布反倒是AC米蘭隊內進球效率最高的球員。
英國媒體《慢鏡頭》披露 ，AC米蘭高層對伊布的總體表現很滿意 ，唯一的缺點就是傷病太多了 ，如此情況下 ，俱樂部決定給他一份低固定年薪 、高獎金的合同。據悉 ，今年夏天合同到期的伊布 ，願意繼續為AC米蘭踢球 ，傾向於接受這份新合同 。相比起伊布現在的稅後700萬歐元年薪，新合同稅後年薪僅為300萬歐元 ，此外還有多達200萬歐元的獎金 ，獎金條款主要涉及出場次數和進球 。換言之，如果伊布出勤率和進球都有保證的情況下 ，未來一年的稅後薪水也高達500萬歐元 。
對於AC米蘭而言 ，伊布堪稱是他們的福星 ，瑞典神塔第一次為紅黑軍團效力時，幫助球隊拿到了球隊最後一個聯賽冠軍 。2020年1月 ，伊布第二次為AC米蘭效力後 ，紅黑軍團立即走出泥潭 ，上賽季拿到了意甲亞軍 ，時隔多年獲得了參加了歐冠資格；本賽季 ，AC米蘭再接再厲 ，目前排在意甲積分榜第一 ，紅黑軍團在伊布的幫助下 ，有望時隔11年，再次拿到聯賽冠軍。
