自從新主帥貝尼特斯上任後 ，罗离埃哥倫比亞球星J羅在埃弗頓已經失去了出場機會。正同如今J羅有望“逃離地獄”，卡塔他正在和卡塔爾球隊進行轉會談判 ，尔球而卡塔爾聯賽的队转夏季轉會期在9月底才關閉 。
30歲的判本J羅在去年從皇馬轉會加盟埃弗頓，上賽季在恩師安切洛蒂執教下 ，望逃J羅在埃弗頓的弗顿表現不錯 ，但在今年2月之後他受到傷病困擾 ，罗离埃隻為球隊出場5次打進1球。正同今年夏天安切洛蒂前往皇馬執教 ，卡塔新主帥貝尼特斯上任後並不欣賞J羅 ，尔球本賽季至今為止J羅還沒有獲得過出場機會 ，队转J羅不在球隊的判本計劃當中。
在今夏轉會期結束前 ，望逃埃弗頓曾試圖用J羅交換波爾圖的路易斯-迪亞茲 ，但談判沒能成功 ，其中部分原因是J羅的周薪高達20萬英鎊 。J羅顯然不願意留在埃弗頓繼續枯坐冷板凳，《泰晤士報》透露 ，J羅已經和一家卡塔爾球隊取得聯係 ，開始了轉會談判 。
據《郵報》報道，J羅在上周六已經離開埃弗頓飛赴卡塔爾 ，和潛在買家進行麵談 。而《衛報》則指出 ，有意簽下J羅的卡塔爾球隊是阿爾賴揚 。著名足球記者羅馬諾稱 ，埃弗頓已經允許J羅離隊 ，這樣可以為俱樂部節約大筆薪水 ，接下來J羅隻需要和卡塔爾球隊談妥合同條款即可 。由於卡塔爾聯賽的夏季轉會窗口要在9月底才關閉 ，因此隻要談妥轉會 ，J羅就可以在本月離開埃弗頓去卡塔爾淘金。
