撇開《李鐵的商海江湖》以及《足球報》的爆料是否完全屬實不談，單就李鐵發布會的言論以及涉嫌違規在社交平台上“發圖帶貨” ，都足以令其下課 。畢竟 ，這影響到了國足的形象 ，也損害了國足的利益 。因而，李鐵下課很可能已經進入到了倒計時 。
目前 ，足協主席陳戌源以及國管部部長陳永亮都在蘇州 ，與國足一起隔離觀察 。按照計劃 ，國足將於12月2日結束為期14天的封閉隔離 ，隨後按規定被集體轉至上海繼續接受為期7天的“自主觀察” ，期間球隊不會安排訓練 。這意味著李鐵教練組的帶隊訓練任務 ，隨著球隊結束蘇州的隔離而告一段落 。不出意外的話 ，國足換帥應該會在12月2日之後才有定論 。
李鐵下課的話 ，誰來接任燙手的國足帥位呢 ？受疫情影響 ，足協可考慮的人選範圍並不大 。目前，接替李鐵呼聲最高的人選是現武漢隊主教練李霄鵬 。
