北京時間9月26日，曝巴普據西班牙《每日體育報》報道 ，萨已时主帅或本賽季戰績慘淡的马丁西甲豪門巴塞羅那俱樂部已經與比利時國家隊主教練羅伯托-馬丁內斯進行了初步接觸。
本賽季 ，内斯诺坎失去了梅西的接触巴薩難求一勝 ，主教練科曼始終處在風口浪尖之上。比利種種跡象顯示 ，入主科曼下課隻是曝巴普時間問題，而各大媒體早已紛紛對荷蘭老帥的萨已时主帅或繼任者進行了猜測。根據《每日體育報》的马丁消息 ，巴塞羅那俱樂部已經與比利時國家隊主教練馬丁內斯進行了接觸 。内斯诺坎球隊戰績慘淡 ，接触主教練自然難辭其咎 。比利在這個敏感時期，入主科曼卻與俱樂部主席拉波爾塔爆發了口水戰，曝巴普這使得他下課的概率進一步變大 。於是 ，包括哈維和馬丁內斯的名字都與巴薩帥位聯係在了一起。不過 ，前者成為科曼繼任者的可能性並不大 ，馬丁內斯則可能入主諾坎普。報道稱 ，馬丁內斯已經告知比利時足協 ，自己可能離任 ，這位執掌歐洲紅魔多年的主帥與比利時足協的合同將於2022年卡塔爾世界杯後到期 。雖然沒有開始正式談判 ，但是巴薩方麵已經與馬丁內斯進行了初步的接觸 。
