埃芬博格認為金球投票機製有問題：“在記者投票時 ，事情往往會變得很奇怪。因此，我強烈建議改變金球獎投票方式 。我更願意讓曾經拿過金球獎的人，投票選出他們的繼任者 。如果金球獎投票還像以前那樣繼續下去 ，那就會是一場鬧劇 。”
