北京時間5月19日 ，大连单恐第阶段赛瑞典隊公布了歐洲杯大名單，外援中超兩名球員入選 ，中卫整分別是入选大連人隊的丹尼爾森和廣州城的斯文森 。根據賽程 ，欧洲瑞典隊將於北京時間6月15日淩晨迎來歐洲杯小組賽首戰 ，杯名對手為西班牙隊；18日對陣斯洛伐克 ，缺席屆時丹尼爾森應能遇見哈姆西克；24日 ，大连单恐第阶段赛在最後一輪小組賽中對陣波蘭 。外援
按計劃 ，中卫整中超將於6月21日重啟 ，入选一直到8月5日 ，欧洲完成第一階段的杯名14輪比賽 。就算瑞典隊止步小組賽 ，缺席丹尼爾森馬上動身返回中國 ，大连单恐第阶段赛也要經過隔離 ，才能重回中超賽場 。即使一天都不耽誤 ，能趕上的比賽場次也很有限 。此種情況下 ，他大概率缺席整個第二階段的賽事 。
前5輪聯賽中 ，單外援出戰的大連人隊踢得十分被動 ，連何塞都感慨球隊鋒無力。接下來 ，博阿滕有可能歸隊 ，進攻問題或許能夠得到緩解 ，但何塞又該為防守問題發愁了。在這個備受衝擊的賽季 ，球隊很難有更高追求。外援獲各自國家隊征召，也是中超各隊普遍麵臨的問題 。
