梅西的只效續約問題目前是巴薩的頭號課題 ，今天，球队RAC1電台表示，亚亚梅西已經接受了拉波爾塔提出的图雷續約方案 ，願意暫時接受降薪，梅西待巴薩的必须財政狀況有所緩解後再逐漸加薪 。
此外拉波爾塔計劃在梅西掛靴之後 ，留巴力支安排梅西擔任巴塞羅那的萨生俱樂部大使 。而針對球隊的只效建設問題 ，拉波爾塔認為必須繼續加強球隊的建設 ，打造一支具有競爭力的巴薩 ，梅西才會更鐵定留在諾坎普 ，因此拉波爾塔依然想要簽下哈蘭德 。
作為曾效力於巴薩的亞亞-圖雷 ，科特迪瓦人也呼籲梅西盡快續約 ，“我希望梅西留在巴薩，他是一名特殊的球員 ，我不希望看到他離開巴薩 ，拉波爾塔必須要傾盡全力 ，他必須要明白梅西必須得留下 ，他要像馬爾蒂尼或是托蒂那種球員一樣 ，一輩子隻為一支俱樂部效力 。”
