在今年的欧冠3月底 ，曼城官方宣布不再與阿圭羅續約 ，决赛藍月軍團的后官隊史射手王將在今夏合同到期後 ，以自由身的阿圭身份離開球隊。現年32歲的罗已两年阿圭羅 ，迄今為止總共代表曼城出戰384次 ，巴萨打入257球 ，达成幫助藍月軍團贏得過5次英超冠軍、协议宣1次足總杯冠軍 、签约和5次聯賽杯冠軍。本賽季的歐冠聯賽 ，曼城一路過關斬將殺入決賽 ，藍月軍團在決賽中的對手是切爾西 ，阿圭羅也有望以歐冠冠軍的身份離開球隊 。
