有媒體報道稱 ，薪达一位現役球員告訴記者 ：“不欠薪的个月给球（中超）俱樂部據我所知不到半數 ，欠薪的出钱最少也是欠1個季度了 ，大家現在都是红包硬著頭皮在踢，真不知道還能踢多久 。中超”
事實上 ，據筆者了解 ，欠薪在三個月以上的中超俱樂部不在少數 。有知情人告訴筆者，有俱樂部欠薪已多達六個月之久 。有俱樂部因為長期不發薪水 ，教練員為維持團隊士氣確保比賽得以延續，會自掏腰包在隊員微信群裏發紅包 。有球員被教練員的舉動所打動，表示盡管一直被欠薪 ，但自己還是會堅持打好每一場比賽。

不僅是球員遭遇欠薪 ，事實上 ，部分俱樂部員工也麵臨同樣處境 ，但這些員工依然堅守在工作崗位上 。有俱樂部員工因此開玩笑說 ：“現在如果不是個富二代 ，都不敢來俱樂部上班 。
