據敘利亞媒體報道 ，2022卡塔爾世界杯亞洲區40強賽A組突然更換賽地一事 ，黑手完全是叙利协自敘利亞足協“努力”的結果，在敘利亞足協看來 ，亚足有阴將賽地從蘇州改為沙迦是曝步屬於他們的勝利 。
在一份官方聲明中 ，骤让中国敘利亞足協透露了他們采取的失主七個步驟，這些步驟主要是场易為了將A組剩餘比賽更改賽地的一攬子計劃 。
敘利亞足協表示 ，地早他們最初寫信給亞足聯 ，幕后谋還有本組其他球隊的黑手足協 ，以迫使他們同意即使在中國隊與關島隊打完重啟後的叙利协自第一場比賽後依然要更換比賽主辦地 。
第二步，亚足有阴就是曝步讓亞足聯記者不止一次“攻擊”中方在承辦A組小組賽剩餘比賽時對其他球隊在防疫方麵設置障礙 ，以敦促亞足聯用另一個國家來取代中國東道主的骤让中国地位 。
第三步就是早前媒體曝出的敘利亞足協在任何情況下都堅決不同意更改A組剩餘賽程 ，尤其是做出符合中國隊利益的變動。
第四步 ，是敘利亞足協與阿聯酋足協合作，讓阿聯酋方麵為承辦賽事提供各方麵的準備 ，並說服亞足聯將A組剩餘比賽放在阿聯酋舉行 。
第五步也是最重要的一步是 ，敘利亞的相關官員與亞足聯主席謝赫-薩勒曼進行了廣泛的接觸 ，以便向他通報之前的所有步驟 ，為A組小組賽剩餘比賽移地做最終決定 。
第六步則是敘利亞拒絕前往中國，並由與亞足聯主席直接溝通的官員蓋耶布做出這一決定 。
在收集了關島隊和馬爾代夫隊前往中國的過程中遇到很多問題後 ，敘利亞足協做出最後一擊 ，成功敦促亞足聯將比賽地從中國改為阿聯酋 。（卓奧友）
