凱恩最終沒能踢滿全場 ，因想他被拉什福德換下，基恩認為索思蓋特的這一決定是正確的：“我很高興索思蓋特把他換下了——人們總說他是個無懈可擊的人 ，他是英格蘭的絕對主力 ，無可替代 。但如果他沒在舞台上發光 ，把他換下來就是理所應當的事情 。”
基恩認為 ，哈裏-凱恩在今夏的轉會計劃影響了這位前鋒 ，導致他沒能為三獅軍團貢獻出自己最大的力量 ，他分心了 。
凱恩在參賽前已經自曝出離隊的想法 ，目前曼城 、曼聯和切爾西正在試圖爭奪他 ，而熱刺明顯並不願意放人。
