首先我們來看看那個爭議瞬間 ，对方队最在比賽進行至第29分鍾的进球時候 ，斯蒂芬斯上前完成搶斷 ，前犯B-費爾南德斯被放倒後 ，规球南安普頓反動進攻 ，后分好並最終造成了弗雷德的钟表烏龍球 。進球之後，索帅現場導播也在不斷的重複斯蒂芬斯搶斷的這個畫麵 ，其意圖也是非常的明顯 ，那就是從他們專業的角度上來看，這個搶斷是存在問題的 ，可惜的是，最終主裁認定進球有效 。
對於這個丟球 ，索爾斯克亞在賽後也表達了自己的不滿之情 ：“他們進球時我們有點失去理智 ，那100%是個犯規動作 ，但是弗雷德的腿不應該晃 ，他應該作出更好的封堵 。”的確 ，如果這粒進球因為犯規被吹無效的話 ，曼聯或許可以從這裏帶走三分 ，不過在足球場上並沒有如果可言。
在下半場扳平比分之後 ，曼聯也不斷的發動反擊 ，想要完成逆轉 。可惜的是 ，最終曼聯的進攻總是無功而返 ，紅魔隻能無奈接受一場平局 。對此索爾斯克亞也進行了一番點評：“最後20分鍾我們太草率了 ，也許是體能問題 ，也許是其他一些原因 。”
