北京時間10月14日，海港憑借著李申圓全場補時階段的主帅頭球絕殺 ，上海海港艱難的外援一球小勝中乙球隊西安駿狼 ，成功晉級足協杯的缺阵下一輪 。
賽後發布會 ，实力主教練萊科坦言這是下降希望下场一場困難的比賽 ：“今天對手在場上展現出很棒的拚搏精神 ，祝賀對手讓我們贏得艱難 ，表现也祝賀我們的更好球員，他們在比賽中創造出很多機會 ，海港堅信不到最後一刻不放棄，主帅展現了良好的外援精神麵貌 。”
對於人員安排 ，缺阵萊科表示球隊一直踢的实力是團隊足球 ，“外援的下降希望下场缺陣確實讓我們的實力有所下降 ，但我們也有其他同樣有能力的表现球員 ，今天在場上年輕球員表現出了強勢和水平，希望他們在下一場比賽表現得更好。”
