名宿卡斯卡裏諾非常看衰德國，“除了踢葡萄牙 ，德國的其它比賽都表現不佳。事實上 ，德國踢葡萄牙表現好 ，是因為對手踢得更糟糕罷了 。從整個小組賽來看，德國踢得很掙紮 ，小組賽最後一輪2-2戰平匈牙利 ，他們盡管出線了 ，但表現的簡直一無是處。英德大戰，顯然不是五五開的比賽 ，英格蘭是絕對的熱門 。”
同時 ，卡斯卡裏諾指出，胡梅爾斯的速度將成為德國最大短板 ，也是英格蘭最有可能打開突破口的地方 ，“胡梅爾斯的速度不快 ，你可以利用這一點，打他的身後 ，德國的一些失球 ，就是這樣造成，我認為英格蘭可以利用這一點 。”
