北京時間12月13日 ，據意大利轉會專家迪馬濟奧爆料 ，迷惑切爾西已接近於與隊內的行为续约兩大中衛克裏斯滕森以及蒂亞戈-席爾瓦續約 。
切爾西目前正在積極為冬窗引援做著準備 ，中卫主力與此同時他們也十分重視隊內重要球員的接近續約問題 。特別是铁打在中後衛位置上 ，切爾西此前的队长操作令人迷惑 。
圖赫爾善於使用三後衛 ，蓝军两但是迷惑在他慣常使用的中衛球員中 ，呂迪格 、行为续约克裏斯滕森 、中卫主力蒂亞戈-席爾瓦與阿茲皮利奎塔的接近合同都是在本賽季末到期 。也就是铁打說 ，藍軍賴以成名的队长鐵血防守 ，將極有可能在未來的蓝军两那個夏天迎來“大崩盤” 。
其中呂迪格問題尤甚 ，德國中衛與斯坦福橋續約談判陷入僵局 ，已有媒體曝出冬窗他就會和皇馬預簽合同，夏季告別切爾西轉投伯納烏 。
克裏斯滕森此前也有離隊猜測，巴薩和米蘭是緋聞之中的主要下家，但是鑒於主帥圖赫爾認為他對球隊的計劃非常重要 ，切爾西目前正在極力推動丹麥人的續約工作 。藍軍為他提供了一份為期4年的合同，其中或還包括一個1年選擇條款 。迪馬濟奧稱雙方已接近達成一致，隻差最後細節 。
蒂亞戈-席爾瓦的情況則是比較特殊，巴西人由於年齡原因導致續約成疑 ，盡管他的狀態依然可圈可點 ，但切爾西方麵態度不明朗。好消息是，弟媳自己願意留在切爾西踢球 ，所以他的續約可能也可以在未來幾周之內完成 。
阿茲皮利奎塔的情況則是令人迷惑 ，有報道稱 ，盡管身兼隊長職位的阿斯皮利奎塔本人渴望留在斯坦福橋 ，但藍軍並未向其提供新合同 。這位現年32歲的西班牙人並不缺乏下家 ，巴薩與馬競都有機會拿下他 。
在此前接受媒體采訪時 ，阿茲皮利奎塔表示 ：“我對此並不擔心 ，我的合同的確是到明年6月就會到期了 ，但我現在並不會專注於此 。我隻關心訓練和拿出最好的狀態來比賽。一切都會很順利的，沒必要多說一些有的沒的。”
在這4名中衛球員中 ，呂迪格本賽季各項賽事已為藍軍出戰21場 ，蒂亞戈-席爾瓦為18場，克裏斯滕森與阿茲皮利奎塔同為17場 。另外小將查洛巴則是踢了14場 。
