日前 ，伊布接受德國媒體《圖片報》采訪時談到金球獎評選，伊布誉好瑞典神塔痛批主辦方評選的金球奖政標準，稱隻有好好先生才能拿 。治荣伊布這是好先內涵誰呢？就評選結果來說 ，金球獎過去三年中有1年停辦 ，内涵能拿還有2年是伊布誉好梅西當選 。
近年來 ，金球奖政金球獎評選的治荣爭議越來越大，2020年因為疫情原因而停辦 ，好先2021年評選的内涵能拿結果是梅西力壓萊萬當選 。需要指出的伊布誉好是 ，無論是金球奖政2020年還是2021年 ，國際足聯評選的治荣世界足球先生皆是萊萬。過去兩年世界足壇最佳球員 ，好先是萊萬，還是梅西 ？當然 ，每個獎項的評選都有自己的一套標準 ，但不同的人選出現，充分說明有爭議 。事實上 ，不斷出現爭議 ，也是金球獎和世界足球先生在2016年“分家”的原因 。甚至因為兩大機構評選的爭議，也催生了歐足聯最佳球員——銀褲衩獎 。
當下 ，每年或者每個賽季的世界足壇最佳 ，最有權威的有三個獎項 ，就是金球獎 、國際足聯的世界足球先生和歐足聯的銀褲衩獎 。在被問到有關金球獎的評選時 ，伊布直言這些都是政治性榮譽，“他們要的都是‘好好先生’ ，這些獎項都是政治性榮譽 。如果你表達了一種聲音 ，說出了你想要的東西，那你就不會得到這樣的獎項 ，把這些獎項發給好好先生很容易。對於我來說，獎項不會改變任何事情，不會讓我變好或者變壞。”
現年40歲的伊布 ，巔峰時期曾是世界最佳之一 ，曾11次入選金球獎候選大名單。由於他表現不俗 ，加之經紀人拉伊奧拉的熱炒 ，瑞典神塔一度非常接近金球獎 ，在2013年評選中 ，甚至高居第四位 。
