挪威記者安德雷亞斯稱，圖赫爾本人也參與到了哈蘭德的轉會談判之中 ，他已經和哈蘭德以及哈蘭德的父親進行了數次對話 。老哈蘭德希望自己的兒子加盟曼城，但他對前往倫敦踢球同樣持開放態度 。據悉 ，切爾西老板阿布拉莫維奇很快也會與哈蘭德父子見麵 ，就轉會一事進行談判 。意大利記者尼科洛-斯基拉也表示 ，切爾西的確接觸了哈蘭德的經紀人拉伊奧拉 ，但多特蒙德方麵似乎無意今夏出售哈蘭德 。哈蘭德的合同中包含明年夏天生效的7500萬歐元解約金，因此多特希望明夏再考慮將其出售 。
《每日電訊報》則表示 ，如果切爾西今夏無法如願引進哈蘭德 ，那麽他們明夏還會對哈蘭德保持興趣 。在普利西奇從多特蒙德轉會至切爾西之後 ，兩家俱樂部的關係越來越好 。值得一提的是 ，著名經紀人傑米-莫拉利此前在接受采訪時也談到了哈蘭德的未來 ，他認為切爾西是哈蘭德的下家之一 ：“我要說的是 ，哈蘭德目前的市場價值大約在1.5億英鎊 。他最後會前往英國 ，加盟曼城或者切爾西 ，而他的周薪會在20萬至30萬英鎊之間 。”
