尤文圖斯在過去的尤文已轮10個賽季9次贏得了意甲冠軍 ，盡管在去年夏窗賣掉了C羅，联赛但是不败榜前尤文圖斯的紙麵實力在意甲依舊位居頂級水準 。而新賽季開戰後，挺入尤文圖斯在意甲聯賽中的积分成績卻並不樂觀 。
前23輪的胜平比賽後 ，尤文圖斯位居第五位，尤文已轮甚至沒有一次進入過前四 。联赛本輪對戰維羅納的比賽前 ，亞特蘭大意外輸球 ，這使得尤文有了進入前四的可能 。而最終尤文也沒有讓斑馬軍球迷失望 ，主場2-0完勝對手獲得了三分 。
24輪比賽後 ，尤文圖斯45個積分，在多賽一場的情況下領先亞特蘭大2個積分位居第四位 ，而這也是尤文圖斯本賽季第一次殺入前四 。其實尤文殺入前四並不僅是本輪的贏球 ，在最近的10輪比賽中 ，尤文的發揮非常的穩定 。
加上贏下維羅納的比賽，尤文圖斯最近十輪贏球七次 ，平局三次 。麵對弱旅 ，尤文贏球概率極高，這與賽季之初的斑馬軍相比有著明顯的改善。而三場平局中 ，一次與米蘭踢平 ，一次與那不勒斯踢平 ，兩隊都是前三名球隊 。
盡管殺入了前四 ，但是這並不意味著尤文可以掉以輕心 ，畢竟亞特蘭大還少賽一場。需要指出的是，按照賽程安排 ，在北京時間2月14日的淩晨 ，尤文會在客場對戰亞特蘭大，這也是爭四之戰中一場事關6分的比賽，對於誌在贏得前四的尤文來說，這也是一場必勝之戰 。
