10月4日 ，有媒體人爆料 ，王霜再度開啟了留洋計劃 ，英超埃弗頓有意但價錢談不攏，德甲勁旅沃爾夫斯堡也向王霜伸出了橄欖枝 。對此 ，王霜發布辟謠稱 ："一周之內，西甲出來了，德甲出來了 ，下一站是哪個甲呢 ？我是不是大家的小公舉呀 ？大家都這麽為我操心轉會 。"
由於歐洲聯賽的夏季轉會窗早已關閉，冬季轉會窗最早將於明年1月1日開啟。所以，王霜即使有意留洋 ，也是明年的事了 。此外 ，2022年還有女足亞洲杯和亞運會兩項大賽，作為中國女足的核心球員 ，王霜應該會將重心放在國家隊的集訓上 。
