Pretty Little Liarscame to a dramatic end Tuesday with an action-packed two-hour series finale. But a PLLseries finale that runs double the length of a normal episode? That's a recipe for mind-blowing reveals left and right. Here are the six biggest revelations of "Til Death Do Us Part."
In a theory fans guessed at a while back, it turns out Spencer and Charlotte were not Mary Drake's only children -- Spencer is actually a twin. Her identical twin sister, Alex Drake, was adopted by a wealthy British couple who later dumped her at an orphanage when it turned out Alex had some "issues."
As a grown up, Alex meets Wren in a bar and once he finally believes she's not Spencer, he spills all the details about Spencer's entire life. This sets Alex on a path to meet Charlotte and then take over the game as A.D. in order to avenge Charlotte's death. It also satisfies the Wrencer shippers a little bit, as Wren falls hard for Alex and helps her with her evil scheme.
SEE ALSO:'Pretty Little Liars' fans are cool, will not stand for transphobic tweetsBut the scheme becomes about much more than Charlotte when Alex decides she deserves what Spencer has. It starts with her posing as Spencer in small moments -- mostly to hook up with Toby -- but it culminates in Alex breaking their mom Mary out of prison and kidnapping Spencer and Ezra. The plan is just to take over Spencer's life, starting with being there for Aria at this time of crisis (because Ezra is missing and seemingly left Aria at the altar).
This is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but the way Alison (Sasha Pieterse) has messed with Emily's (Shay Mitchell) head so many times over the years, it's kind of amazing that they're still together. Not only that, but they're happily raising twin girls Lily and Grace, before we see Alison propose to Emily. Who would have thought it way back in the Season 1 flashbacks that mean girl Alison, who was so cruel to her smitten friend Emily, would end up living happily ever after with her?

We should have seen this one coming once Alex was revealed, but there was a lot happening so we kind of forgot that no one knew the paternity of Emily and Alison's babies. Turns out Wren is the baby daddy, which is kind of a moot point once Alex reveals that she killed Wren when he became more of a liability than an asset. RIP, Wren. That's a real bummer way to go out.
This one was a little weird, only because it is a hugely emotional thing to deal with that didn't feel like it got enough screen time in the finale -- certainly not enough for the weightiness of the issue.
But it is revealed on the eve of Aria's wedding that she is unable to have biological kids. She freaks out about the wedding, but her friends convince her to tell Ezra the truth -- and he of course handles it wonderfully. Say what you will about Ezra, but he loves Aria so much and her inability to conceive a child is not going to change that. By the time Ezria actually get married, they're apparently jumping right into having kids because they've booked an appointment with an adoption agency.
It's babies for everyone, because Hanna is also pregnant! Which is also kind of hilarious when you realize these girls are only 24.

Throughout the finale it seems like Mona is working with Alex to torment the Liars, but any real fan of the show knows that's not true. All Mona has ever wanted to do is be a part of the Liars' gang, and once she got over that whole "A" thing, she mostly stopped trying to hurt them. At the very least, she would never hurt Hanna, so it's no surprise that Mona reveals she's actually working to track down A.D., not help her.
After a faceoff in the lair, Mary and Alex are taken into custody and it seems like that is the end of everything -- until it's revealed that after the events of the finale, Mona moved to France, started working at a doll boutique, found herself a hot French boyfriend... and is keeping Mary and Alex in a dungeon in the basement, natch.

She can't keep them there forever, right? "Of course she can," Alex says. "She's Mona."
That is maybe the perfect ending for Pretty Little Liars, but the writers couldn't stop themselves from gilding the lily a bit with...
Pretty Little Liarsis not continuing or being spun off (that we know of), but the series finale's final scene is a re-creation of the scene from the pilot where the girls fall asleep in the barn and Alison disappears. This time it's the new high school clique, led by queen bee Addison and including Maya's niece Hadley. When Hadley wakes up to find Addison and Willow (the Spencer of the group) missing, she goes outside and Willow appears, saying she can't find Addison but she heard a scream. Dun dun dun!

So that's how it ends, which is a little weird because, as we said, it's not like the show is continuing with a new batch of Liars. (Or is it?!)
Overall, though, the finale had a ton of fan service that should leave loyal viewers satisfied, with plenty of closure for the Liars. It was a fittingly bonkers ending for a show that was so shamelessly insane for seven seasons, and we wouldn't have it any other wAy.
