隨著《我的冤家住對門》的熱播 ，劇中的笑中现代“雙核感情模式”引發了不少觀眾的思考 。

在劇中 ，羅潔因為不想“依賴”潘向東而造成誤會 ，導致潘向東猶如驚弓之鳥 ，總會對羅潔失去“信任”，二人互相試探，其實是為了得到“尊重” 。蔡郝貴也是如此 ，他是不被王愛萍“依靠”的男人，所以張粉紅能屢次引發“信任”危機 ，最後二人出於對彼此的“尊重”開始了沒有彼此的新生活……
