“很遺憾 ，不會有很多克羅地亞球迷到場 。當他們在觀眾席上時，我們在踢球的同時總是能感受得到他們的存在的 。但事情就是這樣 ，在本場我們需要專注於比賽 ，不要被環境所左右。”
成為歐洲杯冠軍是克羅地亞隊本屆大賽的目標嗎 ？莫德裏奇似乎對這一點保持了非常客觀的冷靜 ：“球迷們對我們的期望是很高的 ，我們在俄羅斯所取得的成功提高了他們的這種期望。但是 ，我們不能每次都期待著打進決賽 ，關於目標我們應該保持現實 。”
