率先開始的比賽 ，韓國對陣新加坡 。首盤比賽 ，韓國混雙金元昊/鄭娜銀出場 ，對陣新加坡選手郭俊良/黃嘉盈，韓國21 ：15 ，21 ：17 ，連勝兩局 ，總比分2 ：0贏得開門紅 ，大比分1 ：0領先 。
第二盤比賽 ，韓國女單金佳恩對陣新加坡選手楊佳敏 ，這一場比賽雙方實力非常接近，楊佳敏被譽為新加坡希望之星 ，金佳恩隨隊收獲過蘇杯冠軍，擁有世界冠軍頭銜 。首局比賽 ，楊佳敏21 ：19先勝一局 。隨後 ，金佳恩21 ：16 ，21：19連勝兩局 ，2 ：1逆轉獲勝 ，韓國大比分2 ：0領先新加坡 。
第三盤比賽，韓國男單李宥奎對陣新加坡的駱建佑 。駱建佑是新加坡的得分點 ，也是新加坡世錦賽男單冠軍 ，擊敗過安賽龍 ，速度很快，而且打法非常具備觀賞性。首局比賽 ，駱建佑速戰速決21 ：10先勝一局 。隨後 ，韓國李宥奎開始大逆轉，21 ：18 ，21 ：15連勝兩局 ，2 ：1爆冷戰勝駱建佑 ，贏得勝利。其實李宥奎並不是新生代小將，今年已經26歲 ，世界排名隻有239位 ，駱建佑的失誤非常離譜 。
第四盤比賽 ，韓國女雙白荷娜/李紹希同樣是先輸一局的情況下 ，以21：4 ，21 ：15 ，總比分2：1逆轉新加坡選手金羽佳/黃嘉盈 ，大比分4 ：0領先。其實韓國已經鎖定勝利 ，但是小組賽需要打滿五場 。第五盤比賽 ，韓國金元昊/羅星升2 ：0戰勝新加坡的許永凱/駱建賢 ，最終韓國5 ：0大勝新加坡 。
國羽方麵 ，小組賽首輪5 ：0輕鬆戰勝烏茲別克斯坦 ，對手實力一般 。首盤比賽 ，雷蘭曦2 ：0卡波夫 。第二盤比賽 ，女單蔡炎炎2 ：0戰勝加拉莫娃 。第三盤比賽 ，任翔宇/譚強2 ：0戰勝穆米諾夫兄弟 ，第四盤比賽 ，李怡婧/羅徐敏2 ：0盧達科娃/索迪科娃 ，第五盤比賽 ，蔣振邦/魏雅欣2 ：0加波洛夫/馬目達娃 。
