朗尼克的系球到來並沒有使曼聯的戰績有所起色 ，多方消息顯示 ，曝曼葡语這位曼聯臨時主教練的联更裂C罗领執教並不被球員們認可 ，包括C羅在內的衣室已分员互大多數球員都對德國老帥不滿意 。而相比於慘淡的帮英戰績 ，曼聯內部的系球問題更加令人感到擔憂 。根據《每日鏡報》的曝曼葡语消息 ，曼聯內部已經分裂成葡語幫與非葡語幫兩大陣營 。联更裂C罗领紅魔領軍人物C羅自然是衣室已分员互葡語幫的老大 ，作為CR7的帮英老鄉B費和達洛特是這個陣營的主要力量，而弗雷德和特萊斯這樣能夠說一口流利的系球葡萄牙語的拉丁語係球員同樣支持C羅 。另一大非葡語幫陣營的主要成員包括了曼聯隊長馬奎爾、拉什福德 、格林伍德這樣持有英格蘭戶口本的本土球員 ，也包括了一些不會說葡萄牙語的球員 。
