西甲主席特瓦斯與曼城主帥瓜迪奧拉日前展開了一場隔空論戰 。瓜迪奧拉此前接受采訪時 ，主席稱讚了英超的瓜帅冠军運營模式 ，並希望特瓦斯和西甲方麵能希望向英超學習 。拿多之後特瓦斯對瓜帥進行回應 ，嗑药兩人的西甲一場“交鋒”由此展開。
對於瓜帥希望西甲學習英超的主席建議 ，特瓦斯通過社交媒體賬號回應道 ，瓜帅冠军“我每天都在學習 ，拿多或許我可以稍微教一教你一些事情，嗑药比如足球的西甲微觀經濟學 ，比如國家資本支持的主席俱樂部造成的工資膨脹 ，比如人口統計學 ，瓜帅冠军比如付費電視的拿多普及 ，還有中國市場 。國際體育仲裁法庭的赦免 ，我們肯定也有可以說的 。”
對此 ，瓜迪奧拉給出了回應 ，“哈維爾（特瓦斯），我們看看西甲聯賽在過去20年裏的情況 。巴薩和皇馬拿到了很多歐冠冠軍 ，瓦倫西亞和馬競進入到了歐冠決賽 。塞維利亞多次獲得歐聯杯冠軍 ，比利亞雷亞爾也剛剛奪冠 。阿拉貢內斯幫助西班牙拿到了歐洲杯冠軍 ，博斯克則率隊贏下了世界杯和歐洲杯 。梅西和C羅達成了難以企及的成就 ，大家都對此非常敬佩 。但是問題是國家資本支持的俱樂部，這有很大的問題 ，是吧 ？我不懂足球的微觀經濟學 ，不懂人口統計學 ，不懂付費電視的普及 ，也不懂中國市場 。所以才需要你 ，我們需要你來告訴我們，為什麽在西班牙足球經曆了這樣輝煌的20年後，西甲聯賽距離英超還是差這麽遠。所以你要告訴我們，然後解決問題 。”
雙方的言語交鋒並未就此停止 ，對於瓜帥的回應 ，特瓦斯繼續給出了回複，“親愛的佩普 ，因為你對於這些事情沒那麽熟悉，我來具體地解釋一下。你可以看到的是 ，在最近這些年，西甲和英超的差距正在縮小 ，西甲從7年前才開始以集中的方式出售轉播權，而英超30年前就開始采用這種方式了 。英國的人口比西班牙多2000萬 ，我們每一年都在進步 ，我們的俱樂部在7年內持續獲益 。我看你還是多為城市集團擔憂一下吧 ，最近這幾個賽季，城市集團已經有了十餘億的虧損 。他們不是投資者，而是毀滅者 ，一直在製造膨脹 。如果不是在經濟方麵‘嗑藥’ ，你會贏得這麽多冠軍嗎 ？”
