賽後發布會上 ，遣工在談起比賽場麵時 ，作人整恩裏克特意提到了卡爾圖哈球場草皮質量的急加問題 ，“這個場地沒有對我們起到幫助作用 ，班修因為球員們在控球的恩里時候會有一些困難 。在更衣室裏 ，克抱球員們也抱怨了此事 。怨草员紧”
恩裏克的皮足這一表態 ，立即引發了西班牙足協的协派重視 ，而足協也將恩裏克的遣工發言視為球員們的間接發聲。據《阿斯報》報道 ，就在恩裏克表態後的數分鍾之內 ，西足協就立即安排工作人員就卡爾圖哈的球場草皮進行修整 ，希望能讓草皮在小組賽次戰對陣波蘭時達到相對理想的狀態 。
不過 ，外界對草皮質量的批評 ，引發了一些塞維利亞當地球迷的不滿 。西班牙原定的比賽承辦地為畢爾巴鄂的聖馬梅斯球場 ，但由於未能按時確認是否滿足歐足聯對觀眾入場的要求 ，聖馬梅斯球場被卡爾圖哈球場取代 。臨時接過承辦權的卡爾圖哈球場 ，在非常短的時間內已經完成了大量的工作 。
