卡拉格談道 ：“我確實感覺到了最終會是利物4-0收場 ，曼聯現在的浦也位置 ，就像我還穿著利物浦球衣踢球的卡拉時候 ，希望挑戰曼聯 。格支那時候曼聯是曼联没惨聯賽頂級球隊，擁有著優秀的又菜又贵教練和陣容 ，而我們隻是最差在身後追趕的，不過我認為我們從沒有像這麽糟糕過 。利物”
“我們在老特拉福德輸過一次0-4，浦也但那時候我們在一分鍾之後就十人應戰了 。卡拉那時候曼聯比我們更強 ，但即便如此 ，我們仍然擁有著勇氣和個性，盡管我們並非最好的球隊之一，但是仍然贏得了冠軍獎杯 。我無法想象這支曼聯能做到 ，例如伊斯坦布爾奇跡或者在本不應該的時候贏得足總杯，我們總是覺得自己有能力在比賽當中做到些什麽 。”
“這支曼聯確實糟糕 ，但是這可是有史以來最昂貴的一套陣容之一啊 。甚至都不用說吉格斯或者斯科爾斯了，如果你（內維爾）現在為這支曼聯效力 ，你都不會允許這種情況發生，我也不會允許這種情況發生 。”
