2月12日 ，2023年全國青年羽毛球錦標賽在蘇州奧體中心體育館開賽。本次比賽共有江蘇 、上海 、北京等來自全國的24支隊伍共計508人參賽 ，參賽運動員年齡為16-18歲 。中國羽毛球協會指派的技術官員及裁判員近100人 。
比賽分為甲乙兩個組別 ，包含男子團體 、女子團體、男子單打 、女子單打 、男子雙打、女子雙打和混合雙打7個項目 ，采用21分 ，三局兩勝的賽製 。
作為全國青年羽毛球運動員的頂級賽事，此前榮獲世界青年羽毛球錦標賽男雙冠軍的朱一珺/徐化雨 ，混雙亞軍廖品逸等實力小將將亮相本次比賽。通過本次賽事的舉辦 ，進一步宣傳、普及羽毛球運動 ，激發球迷的熱情 ，擴大羽毛球運動愛好者的群體範圍 ，為我國羽毛球運動後備人才的建設作出應有的貢獻 。
據了解 ，本次比賽所在的場館——蘇州奧林匹克體育中心體育館也是2023年蘇迪曼杯世界羽毛球混合團體錦標賽的比賽場館 。本次比賽將作為蘇迪曼杯賽前的一次預演 ，對場館設施設備 、流線安排 、功能房設置等進行測試 。
蘇迪曼杯是世界最頂級的羽毛球賽事之一 ，將於今年5月14日至21日在蘇州舉行 ，這也是蘇州繼2015世乒賽 、2016年湯尤杯後舉辦的又一項國際頂級賽事 ，蘇州也由此成為全國繼廣州後第二個齊聚蘇迪曼杯和湯尤杯這兩大羽毛球頂級賽事的城市 。
本次比賽不開放售票 ，為滿足廣大羽毛球愛好者的需求 ，每天有部分公益觀賽券可以申領 ，額度有限，領完為止。中國羽毛球協會公眾號會對本次比賽進行全程網絡直播 。
