當地時間1月9日 ，曝土據土耳其媒體《fotomac》報道 ，超球成首由於巴舒亞伊在本賽季的意签糟糕表現，貝西克塔斯將簽約艾克森的艾克計劃提上了日程 。
艾克森雖然選擇離開中超聯賽 ，森或回到巴西踢球 ，位旅但是欧归他卻依然願意為中國隊而戰 ，表示如果國家隊召喚 ，化球他會義無反顧的曝土回到中國 。
不過艾克森的超球成首巴西之旅似乎並不順利，可能是意签因為待遇的問題 ，讓艾克森遲遲沒有找到下家 。艾克這個時候 ，森或傳來了土超球隊有意艾克森的位旅消息 。
貝西克塔斯本賽季表現低迷，欧归半程過後僅僅位列土超第9 。而隊內前鋒巴舒亞伊的表現也十分令人失望 ，出場22次僅打進6球 ，因此貝西克塔斯開始在市場上尋覓新的前鋒，而目前仍是自由身的艾克森進入到他們的視野中 。據悉 ，艾克森是被他的經紀人推薦給了貝西克塔斯 ，而貝西克塔斯方麵也已經對艾克森展開了評估。
艾克森回到巴西竟然無人問津，這一點還是比較意外的 。因為艾克森可謂是年少成名 ，曾經在巴甲豪門維多利亞與博塔弗戈效力 ，有過出色發揮 ，並短暫入選過巴西國家隊。
在2013賽季 ，艾克森被博塔弗戈賣給了廣州恒大 ，轉會費是570萬歐元，折合成當時的匯率大概是5000萬人民幣左右 。來到中國的艾克森如魚得水，一共拿到了兩屆中超最佳射手 、5座中超冠軍 、2座亞冠冠軍 ，一度被球迷稱為“埃神”，這為他後來加入中國隊提供了最有利保證。
不過隨著年齡的增大，艾克森早就已經脫離了巔峰期 ，他的競技狀態也是每況愈下 ，給中國隊帶來的幫助也是越來越少 。一旦加盟貝西克塔斯 ，那麽艾克森將成為首位旅歐的歸化球員 ，這對於這個年紀的他來說 ，也算是一個好的歸宿。
