北京時間1月11日 ，李霄力量史上最龐大的应庞新一屆中國男足在上海浦東的金橋紅楓萬豪酒店集結 ，開始備戰1月27日和2月1日客場與日本隊和越南隊的大团队迅队兩場12強賽的比賽 。主教練李霄鵬在接受采訪時，速解首次回應了本期集訓龐大的人多助教組如何工作的問題 ，李霄鵬表示 ，李霄力量“人多力量大” ，应庞龐大的大团队迅队助理教練組有利於在更短時間裏熟悉隊伍 。
作為史上最龐大的速解中國男足 ，本期國家隊球員52人 ，人多工作人員人數達到41人之多 ，李霄力量其中除了主教練李霄鵬之外 ，应庞助理教練15人，大团队迅队既有鄭智、速解陳洋 、人多李金羽這樣的國內中超隊主教練 ，也有孫祥這樣的俱樂部管理層 ，還有孫繼海 、邵佳一等國內足壇名宿。如此龐大的教練組如何工作，是外界關注的一大焦點話題 。
對此李霄鵬11日接受采訪作出了解釋 ，他表示 ：“選擇如此龐大的教練團隊，首先是為了迅速了解隊員，發揮隊員的長處，第二這些助教團隊都是成功的運動員，當教練也有一定的經曆 ，這個時候，這麽短的時間 ，我覺得還是人多力量大 。”
李霄鵬說：“這個教練團隊看似很龐大 ，如果分到兩個團隊裏 ，其實也是比較標準的配置 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
