張玉寧在被問到11月兩場世預賽小組賽目標時表示 ：“我們現階段的标拿主要目標就是全力以赴拿下阿曼隊 ，我們會把之前的张玉主场付出的努力和心血統統凝聚到這場比賽中來，我們經曆了這麽多的宁对困難 ，就是失去失望首目要全力以赴踢好這場比賽 ，至於澳大利亞 ，标拿我覺得還是张玉主场打完第一場再說 。”
受到疫情的宁对影響，國足再次失去了主場作戰的失去失望首目機會 ，對此張玉寧坦言失望 。“對我們所有人來說都有些失望 ，當時的心情就是這樣 。但是現在隻能積極麵對，然後轉換自己的心情 ，把這種失望的情緒轉化成對勝利的那種渴望 。”
談到之前在上海的生活 ，張玉寧表示 ，自己也利用兩天的假期 ，返回杭州與家人團聚，“這對於我們非常重要 ，是一種心理上的調整吧 ，接下來馬上又要投入五天兩場的高密度比賽 ，這是所有人必須麵對的事情 。”
張玉寧表示自己目前狀態不錯 ，也已經做好的準備 。“當然 ，我們球隊可能需要更多的熱身賽 ，但現在沒有辦法安排 ，因為受到客觀條件的製約 。當然 ，我們也很感謝深圳隊和浙江隊能陪我們打熱身賽，讓我們能夠保持一個良好的狀態 ，也能夠提前展開磨合 。”
談到前四場小組賽 ，張玉寧表示 ，高質量的對手 ，搞強度的比賽，讓自己收獲頗多 。“參加這種高水平比賽的經曆對比賽經驗方麵等都是有很大的提升 。平時在國內聯賽裏是不會有這樣的高強度 、快節奏的比賽的 ，我覺得這對自己的成長還是挺有幫助的。”
張玉寧認為自己與歸化球員之間的配合也很有默契 。“我覺得他們一直在很努力地進行訓練 ，比賽中也很投入，隻要不停地在場上付出 ，我覺得進球總歸是會來的，也會有回報的 。我覺得他們倆現在做得很好 ，與他倆之間的配合也變得更有默契 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
