近期 ，曝波俄羅斯與烏克蘭的兰足罗軍事衝突已經影響到幾乎整個世界的方方麵麵 。在足球界，协致协求由於世界杯歐洲區預選賽附加賽開戰在即 ，有欧與俄羅斯分在一組的洲足瑞典 、波蘭和捷克相繼表示拒絕與俄羅斯對陣 。其拒特別是绝俄在附加賽第一輪就要與俄羅斯交鋒的波蘭，先是比赛波蘭足協通過官網發布聲明 ，對俄羅斯的曝波行為予以譴責 ，並呼籲盡快結束這場戰爭 。兰足罗同時 ，协致协求波蘭足協正式宣布 ，有欧拒絕與俄羅斯對陣 。洲足
而來自波蘭當地媒體的其拒最新消息 ，波蘭足協不但自己決心不出戰俄羅斯 ，绝俄還已經致函給所有54個歐洲足協，要求他們也宣布不會與俄羅斯比賽 。按照媒體透露的消息，信函的末尾 ，波蘭足協強調整個歐足聯要團結起來 ，呼籲所有協會都要支持烏克蘭渡過難關 。
與此同時 ，國際足聯也對俄羅斯進行了“製裁” 。首先 ，俄羅斯將不會再舉辦任何國際賽事，俄羅斯球隊的主場比賽 ，將全部被改在中立場地以空場的方式進行 。其次，俄羅斯的成員協會參加任何賽事時 ，都不能以“俄羅斯”的名義參賽 ，而隻能以“俄羅斯足球聯盟”的名義參賽 。第三 ，俄羅斯足球聯盟的球隊在參加比賽時 ，將不被允許使用俄羅斯國旗和國歌 。
不過，顯然這樣的裁量在其他各國足協看來還是太輕 。而國際足聯也保留了進一步製裁的權利 ，表示將會繼續與國際奧委會 、歐足聯和其他體育組織對話 ，以確定未來是否采用額外的措施或者製裁 ，取消俄羅斯球隊的參賽資格就是潛在處罰方式之一 。如果戰爭現狀沒有改變的話 ，這些措施將在不久的未來得以實施。國際足聯也已經與波蘭 、捷克和瑞典足協進行對話 ，以共同尋求恰當的 、可接受的解決方案 。
