此次公布的預告中“要是能讓我重新選擇一次”的背景音點明了劇情發展與藝人助理千鳥(黃昊月 飾)的選擇息息相關。作為首部帶入式互動影視作品,影视艺上《他的微笑》講述了職場新人千鳥在靈溪文化公司擔任藝人助理,負責旗下預備團體smiletime組合隊員的日常生活起居及訓練工作,組合的隊員們須全部通過考核正式出道,千鳥才可以成為他們的經紀人 。
