4月1日 ，受诉亚诉材據足球記者馬德興消息 ，理伊朗申料伊朗要求重新獲得小組賽的足联主辦權 。將亞足聯上告至國際體育仲裁法庭(CAS) 。案件據伊朗媒體消息 ，求官CAS在4月15日回函伊朗足協 ，受诉亚诉材他們已經要求亞足聯在10日之內就此事向CAS提交應訴材料 。理伊朗申料
據悉伊朗足協在一份公開聲明中表達了三點意見：
一 、足联根據國際體育仲裁法庭4月15日致函伊朗足協的案件回函 ，該組織已經正式接受伊朗足協的求官狀告，並就此展開正式工作；
二 、受诉亚诉材根據伊朗足協受到的理伊朗申料國際體育仲裁法庭的回函 ，CAS已經做出臨時裁決令 ，足联要求亞足聯在未來10天之內將辯護材料提交給國際體育仲裁法庭；
三 、案件國際體育法庭根據目前的求官情況以及事件的重要性，決定組成一個由三人法官組成的仲裁小組對此事件做出獨立的裁決 。
迄今為止 ，亞足聯尚未對此事有任何正式表態 。不過就在這之前，亞足聯曾公開表示 ，對國際體育仲裁法庭駁回山東泰山俱樂部要求重新參加今年亞冠聯賽的上訴表示讚賞 。
